Hyacinths are one of my favorite spring bulbs. They give you so much bang for your buck--lush, thick blooms give off such a heady aroma that I can smell mine from the open window on my office. My second-floor office.
But something is up (or down) with my pretties! They are so full in their flowering that they appear to have overwhelmed themselves and tipped right over. I cut these off and put them in water on our screened-in porch (they were making me sneeze when I put them in the kitchen, alas....).
Does anyone know if this is typical for hyacinths? I've never actually grown them before. Poor little droopies!
