This just in - my hanging lettuce planter appears to actually be working. Despite the doubts that I had when I set the thing up (click here if you want a doubt-list reminder), the warm weather and sweet sunshine we've been enjoying have worked their magic on this rapidly greening sphere. I think these could even officially qualify as "baby greens!"
As happens so often in a garden, this experiment has been an exercise in hope, faith, and patience. I wasn't sure how--or if--it would work, but it was something I believed was possible, and therefore was worth trying. I gave it water and a good sunny spot, but largely left it to its own devices, and what do you know? It took hold, took root. Gravity, shmavity!
Have you done any garden experimentation this spring? How has it gone?
